Abruzzo has a surface of 10 thousand km2 and its inhabitants are just about a million. Its regional capital is L’Aquila and other important cities are Chieti, Pescara and Teramo.
Chieti is famous for its wonderful hilly landscapes; Pescara attracts its visitors with the great number of artistic works that we can find in its well-known museums and Teramo appeals to custom with its lively seaside from where you can plunge in the amazing clear sea of Abruzzo.

In Abruzzo you will have great choice of hotels, residential hotels, accommodation and health centres in which you can spend your holidays; cosy hotel accommodation equipped with all kind of comfort.
In addition tourists will be delighted by the great amount of museums, like the “Museo Civico di Lanciano” where you could appreciate prehistoric fossils with inestimable value or also the numerous artistic works of fabulous beauty preserved in the “Museo Nazionale d’Abruzzo” in L’Aquila. Other sights that need to be visited in Abruzzo are “Rocca Calascio”, the church of “S. Maria di Collemaggio” and there is the possibility to go along the ancient streets of Scanno.

Eating in Abruzzo is a unique experience that will satisfy your palate.
You could taste excellent first courses like “maccheroni alla chitarra” (square strands of pasta served with a typical tomato sauce) or maize porridge with sausages and also second courses characterised by barbecued meat; and for wine connoisseurs it is possible to taste luscious red wines like the “Montepulciano d’Abruzzo”.

In the past, Abruzzo was a territory of occupation and conquests and a lot of archaeological finds come from the population of Marsi and Peligni, but we can not forget that this region was also a territory of Roman conquests, as a matter of fact in most of museums there are archaeological relics that go back to the historical period.

Abruzzo is a region that in the last years had an explosive economic growth thanks to the service-producing sector; so it is a region that takes a great step forward in order to increase its GDP.

Calabria is a region of southern Italy well-known by tourists above all for its wonderful sea; its surface covers an area of about 15 km2 and its population reaches about one million of inhabitants.

The city of Catanzaro is the regional capital and other important cities are Cosenza, Crotone, Reggio Calabria and Vibo Valentia. Catanzaro faces the Ionian Sea and also the Tyrrhenian Sea, this feature makes this city an attractive place visited by a lot of tourists; but also each summer many young people are attracted here from lots of events that are organized here. Another important city is Cosenza and its land that includes the famous chain of “Monte Pollino”; Crotone is known by people because it is the place of birth of some important philosophers such as Pythagoras. Reggio Calabria is the city that connects Calabria with Sicily, from its port leave the ferries that shuttle between the two regions; this city is also a beautiful resort to visit, it has buildings of great historical importance to admire as well as the great National Museum of Magna Grecia where the famous Riace Warriors (Bronzi di Riace) are located. Last but not the least is Vibo Valentia a city not as well-known as the others, but not for this is less important.

Calabria is not only this; there are many other beauties to be appreciated in this region full of surprises. If you visit this land you can find real hidden treasures, art works of inestimable value saved in the characteristic villages of this region. There are also lots of sights to be visited such as the old Aragonian Castle in Reggio Calabria, the beautiful municipal gardens of Palmi, the ancient cathedral of Assunta in Gerace or the roman bridge of Scigliano but also the archaeological sites that characterized this land in which there are works of the Greek-roman period.

Calabria was also a region conquered by many people such as Greeks and Romans and their influence can be found in numerous buildings.
In addition to historical cities you cannot forget to taste the local Calabrian specialities; delicious courses like spaghetti with garlic and red pepper or pasta with fennel…so all sources that people who love to eat spicy food will appreciate and, of course, if you love strong flavours you have to taste the well-known Calabrian sausage called Soppressata (a dry-cured salami).

Calabria’s economy is unfortunately not extremely producing due to problems that this region has; it is a land that has difficulties in its economic growth and it is based especially on tourism and agriculture with its famous Calabrian oranges.

Campania offers to tourists that come to visit it a wide variety of entertainments that make it unique and inimitable; it is also a land that was too many times stricken by negative events but that in reality there are lots of hidden treasures of inestimable value.

Its regional capital is Naples (Napoli in Italian) and only this city counts about 3 millions of inhabitants; other well-known cities are Avellino, Benevento, Caserta and Salerno. Of course, there are prestigious resorts in this region such as Pompei, Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento besides the famous islands of Ischia and Capri which are frequented by personalities of show business.

Naples is a lively city that will fascinate you as soon as you will come to visiting it, thanks to its numerous museums, buildings and monuments of fabulous beauty. Avellino is the second city in order of importance that is famous for its Regional Park and going to Benevento you could admire the Roman Theatre and the “Arco of Traiano”. Caserta is one of the most famous cities of this region, there you can find the huge “Reggia di Caserta” (Palace of Caserta), this beautiful palace is today one of the most visited buildings of all Campania. Salerno extends over a large area; it includes both the amazing Amalfi coast with its famous resorts of Positano and Ravello and the area that covers the archaeological finds of Pompei and Paestum. In Campania you will find other sights such as the Sanctuary of Montevergine or the National Park of Vesuvius.

These are all places that were conquered by many people, in fact Campania was object of interests for Greeks, Romans, Bourbons and so on…; all these conquests made Campania as a unique and inimitable land.

Campania is also a region in which you could relax and spend your time hiking in nature and admiring the wonderful landscape of Campania; it is also a good opportunity to discover and to appreciate its fauna and flora.
In this region there are many hotel facilities (hotels, residential hotels, accommodation, holiday homes) in which you could stay together with your family or friends. This is also a land where there are many entertainments, young people will be fascinated by the night life of Naples, here they can go to the trendiest discotheques of the city.

By having a holiday in Campania you have to remember to go in some typical farmhouse restaurants, here you could taste delicious dishes like spaghetti with fresh tomatoes, fish-based second courses and also the excellent Neapolitan pizza, a real speciality that is world renowned as Italian trademark and do not forget the good liquor Limoncello of Sorrento, a real delicacy of.

Another thing to be remembered is the fact that in Campania most of the proceeds of this region arrive from the food industry (known are companies where it is produced the Mozzarella di Bufala, that is made from buffalo milk) and than from mechanical businesses and small artisans.
